Semi-detached. Unfinished basement. Blanket insultation. There is a leak in the basement under the insulation that is dripping on the side of the house that is facing the side-yard. Hello, I suspect that there is a small basement foundation wall leak directly below the entrance to the house from the backyard. There is an interlocking step podium which I am having removed and replace, so that I can expose the foundation wall directly below the door. Based on where I saw water infiltration in the basement level, it appears that the leak is just slightly below the exterior grade, within the depth of the fiberglass insulation on the inside face of the foundation wall. The foundation is made of poured concrete and the crack is about 3 feet high (from the floor to below the insulation line), and less than a quarter inch wide. The house is just under 5 years old. We need to have the crack fixed so we can start the process of finishing the basement.
