I came across your site on google. I have an appraisal from the bank come to my home and he has found a crack. When I took the drywall out and it looks like it was repaired by the previous owner. The bank wants a paper to state that the crack is fixed and repaired. I moved in my house on October 30th 2015 and this is the second winter and never had an issue with water or anything like that. Our house is 24 years old. There are 2 vertical foundation wall cracks. On occasion, they will leak a small amount into the basement - not a real problem but they should be repaired for house resale. When the builders poured the concrete floor they neglected to install the water line first. Subsequently the floor was jack-hammered, the water line installed and the concrete patched. The patch is about 25 feet long and about 5" wide and has a rough finish. Can you grind smooth the patched area?
