I have a pillar in my basement that is not looking good... the house is over 100 years old. I want someone to take a look at it to see if there are potential structural issues we need to be concerned with. Thanks, Emily

My basement has mold due to water leakage. I have been looking into interior weeping tiles that are effective.

Hi there, I was just wondering whether the work you do includes protecting a cottage basement with granite floor. There is clearly enough room to finish the basement - but our concern would be condensation that would turn into mould. Is there a way to protect it in a way that would drain all condensation away from the cottage. Is there some sort of system that could be put in place before pouring the cement to protect the basement and main level of the cottage. We would love to do this, but only if it would be possible to ensure that we can protect the cottage from mould growth. Thanks so much, Shoshanna

The addition in my home has been sinking over the last few years since I bought the house. I am in a semi and my neighbours home was sinking and leaning on my home - they underpinned last year but I still see signs of sinking (cracked plaster and a shift in my back door which makes it hard to open.). Had a new deck installed and when they did this the installer said they put the deck boards part way under to help remove load but still see an issue. Hoping that the techniques described on your site may be a solution. Would like to have you come by, take a look to see if your solution may help and provide an estimate. Thank you.

There is a slight grading issue around the house. When in the basement yesterday, I noticed that there was some staining on a wall, and the inside of the cold cellar was damp with a salt-like substance on it. I am concerned the grading issue has be letting water seep into the foundation.

I have an old single car detached garage behind my house. It is leaning ever so slightly to the left but towards my neighbour's garage, which I see as a liability. The garage door still opens fine. I'd like to straighten it and secure it before winter if at all possible. I want to get some estimates.

We have recently started developing mold in the back corner of our finished basement. There is dampness on the drywall and baseboards in the area of the mold and the impacted area as can be seen on the drywall is 59cm on one wall and 25cm on the other. We are looking to have the source of the dampness identified and then repaired.

We have a rat problem. The pest control specialists can only do so much, but we need to seal up the basement to stop them from getting in.
