Challenge
New construction for addition of cottage/home on Island. Small bridge access. Island built entirely of fill soils from dredging nearby waterways about 40 yrs ago. Existing slab on grade structure settling and torn down but slab left due to difficult removal off of island. Job-site quite wet due to snow melt and high water.
Solution
27 Helicals installed to allow build of home that will have no settlement. Installed to depths of 26-30 ft. 13 new construction Helicals and 14 with retrofit bracket to support slab of existing.
